It's about time!

Sorry I am such a slacker about keeping up to date. Jennifer and Natalie came to visit. They were here for my birthday about three weeks ago and I am just now getting the pictures up

Madeline seemed to like her cousin... (as long as Rachael wasn't holding her!)

We tried to get Maddie to get in the tub with her, but she wasn't too sure about that.

Natalie looks a lot like her daddy just now.

What a cutie, huh!?!

Geez, how did I get this old? My baby with her baby.

She's a really good baby. Very cheerful.

Maddie having a snack.

I think I might be a little out of practice at this!!

I couldn't resist this picture of Bryan in his new digital cami's.
Can't wait to see everybody at Thanksgiving!!!

Precious Bundle

Rachael sent Madeline's swing for Natalie to use. Natalie got to try it out for the first time this morning. I think she liked it!

How tiny her hand looks wrapped around her daddy's finger! I think we all know how this will turn out.. It will be daddy wrapped around her little finger in no time!

Home Sweet Home

This is Jennifer and Cory's new house. It's out in Raeford. We've spent some time the last few days going to different appointments for them to pick out appliances, cabinets, countertops and such. It's pretty exciting! Their closing date is no later than 17 September. I can't wait to see it all finished.

The second night at home was pretty rough. Jennifer must have eaten or drank something that upset poor little Natalie's stomach, but last night was much better. Everyone got some sleep and both Jennifer and Natalie are looking much more rested today.

Happy Birthday Natalie!!

Natalie made her appearance yesterday morning (July 23rd) at 1033 am est. She weighed in at 8 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches long. Mother and baby and doing great. I didn't make it in time for the birth, but I got to meet her before she was 7 hours old. She is absolutely beautiful. Velvet skin and that new baby smell.

Long Time

Sorry it's been such a long time since I gave anybody an update. A lot has happened since my last post. Madeline will be 16 months old tomorrow. How time flies, huh?! Jennifer is due in a little over a month (Jul 24th). She is having a baby girl and it looks like they will be naming her Natalie Maria Hall. Very nice. I can't wait to meet her!

I have had the house here on the market since my last post with not even one person coming to look at it. That combined with a very decent paying job with salary guaranteed until next April has me staying put right here in the Pensacola area. I have one more really good reason for staying put here for a while.... but I'll save that for another post. I don't want to jinx anything! :-)

Big Weekend

Madeline is growing like a weed! Saturday (Valentine's Day) was Madeline's first birthday. She had her birthday party at the zoo in Gulf Breeze. Jennifer came all the way from Ft. Bragg to participate in the festivities. Everybody seemed to have a really good time.

The other big news for the weekend is the For Sale sign in front of my house in Jay. I'm hoping for a quick fair market sale! The other pic I stole off of Jennifer's camera. It's a pic of her two little girls Maya and Sophie.

Wagon Fun!

We tested out the new little wagon with Madeline today. It was a big hit! She absolutely loved riding in it... Especially when her daddy took her fast up and over the little hills. We took the wagon in the back yard too. Becky and Haley had to come and check her out.

Settling In

I'm getting settled in to my "new" old digs. I reclaimed the master suite at the house in Jay and am getting stuff out of suitcases, boxes and bags and finding spots for everything. I got new accessories for the master bathroom here in Jay. I decided to lighten it up a little. The old bath stuff used to be dark blue. I think the lighter colors make it look a little more cheerful.

I think Haley is settling in pretty well too! What do you think?!

Big Day!

Well, today was the big day... after over three years on military orders, today was my first day back to work at the post office. I survived intact, but not without some serious butterflies. It was a very full day. My sub was supposed to assist me today. I guess he sort of did... but they had him doing all kinds of other stuff today, so he wasn't exactly there to answer questions as they came up or anything. They had him case for a while on another route... head to the main Post Office on Jordan St... Deliver express mail... So, it wasn't exactly the help I thought I was going to get, but he did lead me out on the route and show me places where I had to dismount with the mail and stuff. All in all, the day wasn't too bad, but it did seem kind of surreal to be there doing that job after all this time. I can definitely tell that I am out of practice as well. My right shoulder is really aching tonight and my fingers hurt a little. My back is a little sore too. Looks like a Motrin kind of night! Hopefully it won't take long to get used to using these muscles this way again. I should be able to pick up some speed fairly readily too. It's a pretty good route overall... And thank goodness I have a mail truck now!

Trip to Paris

The sunrise was absolutely gorgeous! It was definitely chilly out yesterday though. It never made it above mid twenties. Today is supposed to be toasty - nearly going up to the freezing mark!

Me and Lisa headed to the Tractor Supply in Paris. We were in search of a new halter for Heidi and another couple of bags of horse feed. Along the way we passed this creek full of geese. The creek is half frozen and covered with snow and they are just sitting there playing in it. There were tons of them!

This flock of geese was leading the cows to the creek.

Note the amazing house on the top of the hill. I think the house was actually smaller than the multitude of barns that were also on the property.
